Loutro is some 80 km south of Chania; a small and very beautiful pebble beach just in front of the homonymous resort within a cove featuring very clear and calm waters and a rocky seabed which makes it ideal for snorkeling. The beach is protected from the south winds and very well organized.

Lissos is some 70 km south of Chania at the South and 3 km west of Sougia; a remote pebble beach affected by the south winds and not organized at all. Nearest accommodation and food facilities can be found in Sougia. Nearby are the ruins of ancient Lissos which can be reached on foot inland (50 min.).

Keratides is some 80 km south of Chania and 1 km east of Palaeochora; a long pebble and stone beach affected by the south winds with no facilities at all. Ideal for snorkeling and fans of calmness and isolation.

Kedrodasos is a few hundred metres west of Elafonissi; one of the most beautiful beaches. A hidden paradise for many years since only few knew how to actually get there. A fantastic place to camp and enjoy some serenity away from the thousands of tourists who invade nearby Elafonissi. The beach has sand and rocks and a beautiful cedar forest. Bear in mind that there are no facilities for accommodation or food.

Ilingas is some 74 km south of Chania and 2 km west of Chora Sfakion; a beautiful pebble beach with very clear waters and a large cave, not affected by the south winds and not very organized.

Nearest accommodations can be found in Chora Sfakion.

It can get very crowded in the peak season when tens of excursion buses arrive. An amazing beach with pink sand and shallow waters affected by the south winds and well organized.
