Beach of Kali Limenes

Beach of Kali Limenes

Kali Limenes is some 80 km south of Heraklion and 25 km southwest of Moires. This pebbly beach in front of the village of Kali Limenes is situated within an amazing natural environment and is very well protected from the winds; in fact it is the only alternative for swimming in the area on windy days. It is said to be the beach where St. Paul stopped on his way to Rome. Not very organized, the beach does not offer any accommodation, sun beds or umbrellas;
