Beach of Trachoulas

Beach of Trachoulas

Trachoulas or Psili Ammos is east of Lentas, at some 80 km south of Heraklion. As its greek name suggests (psili ammos means fine sand), it’s a sandy beach, remote enough, shadowed by the Asterousia Mountain. The beach is open to the South and thus affected by the winds. There are no facilities at all; just the crystal clear sea, the bright sun and possibly a few people enjoying the calmness and the natural environment. Suitable for nudism
